The Berlin-based consumer electronics show IFA 2013 is almost here. From the Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch to the Sony Xperia Z1 (Honami) smartphone, we round up all the key announcements here.
After CES in Vegas and MWC in Barcelona, the tech world is set to turn its attention to Berlin for the next biggest tech showcase on the calendar, IFA 2013.
Set to kick off in just a few days’ time, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, a smartwatch currently being dubbed the Samsung Galaxy Gear and the Sony Xperia Z1 (Honami) smartphone are tipped to grab the headlines at this year’s show.
Sony and Samsung aside, there’s plenty to look forward to from Asus, LG, Lenovo and a whole host of tech manufacturers set to unveil new products to lure the money out of your pocket.
The TrustedReviews team will be out in full force in Berlin getting our hands on the hottest new kit and reporting from the key conferences. Acer
Getting the announcements in nice and early before the show has even started, Acer has unveiled the Acer Iconia A3 budget 10-inch tablet and the Acer Liquid S2 smartphone. The quad-core Android phone is capable of recording 4K video, however we strongly suspect this won’t be the only Ultra HD–packing smartphone to appear in Berlin. Additionally, Acer announced the DA241HL 24-inch Android all-in-one computer that will be powered by a Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core CPU.
LG
Set to take on the Nexus 7 2 and the iPad Mini, LG has announced the LG G Pad 8.3 Android tablet. The first slate to pack a full HD screen, the high spec 8.3-inch tablet manages to squeeze in a 1,920 x 1,200 resolution display with an impressive 273 pixels-per-inch image density.
In other news, LG has launched the LG Gallery OLED TV, its first flat 55-inch OLED TV. The LG 55EA880 promises superior viewing angles thanks to its curved design and comes with a 2.2 channel integrated ‘Canvas Speaker’.
