Self-flushing toilets are pretty popular in a lot of public restrooms and now you can have that convince in your own home thanks to Kohler's Touchless Toilet Technology. Unlike other self-flushing toilets at restaurants, movie theaters, etc that use beam-based technology that detect the smallest of movements, Kohler's new system instead ' 'projects an electromagnetic field that is both extremely accurate and reliable.' This means you have to wave your hand to flush the toilet, eliminating a splashed ass every time you shift on your porcelain throne like the beam-based ones.
The Kohler Touchless Flush Kit is an easy upgrade for most single-flush toilets. But you're probably thinking the kit is going to cost you major bucks, but it's actually pretty affordable! For $100 bucks, you get a small, black module that easily attaches to your toilet's tank with a metal bracket inside the tank, with the chain from the toilet's flushing system attaching to a rotating arm on the module. This then acts as the flush actuator, replacing the need for the traditional handle of the toilet. And you can even opt to remove the lever all together and replace it with a color-arched hole cover. To get your toilet self-flushing after you've done your business, the kit comes with a small, raised adhesive flush emblem that you place on the tank lid directly over the kit so that users know where to motion the toilet to flush. Kohler will also include the kit on many of their new toilets if you'd like to get a totally new commode, too.
