Uber Adds Optimus Prime To Its Fleet

Optimus Prime is pretty busy these days. Not only will the Transformer be starring in this summer's new movie, 'Transformers: Age of Extinction,' (due out June 27th) but the Autobot will also be hard at work picking up Uber drivers. Uber users in Dallas, Phoenix and LA will can hitch a ride form the legendary Optimus Prime thanks to a partnership between Uber and the Transformers franchise (it's also backed by Paramount Pictures and Western Star Trucks). T

he Optimus Prime-dressed up semi is already rolling on Dallas streets and will hit Phoenix this coming Thursday and then hit the City of Angels come Saturday. But not everyone will be available to cruise in Optimus Prime; the service will only be available from 1-7 pm in each location, with only one car sent to pick up users. And, you won't get to joyride in it either since the lucky rider(s) will only have 15 minutes in the truck. So if you're in either of the three cities and want to try your luck landing a ride from Optimus Prime, just choose the'AUTOBOTS' option when using the Uber app on your smartphone before you select your pickup location, then hit 'ROLL OUT' and hope your Transformer arrives.
